Nearly 50,000 to be engaged, House told
THE government plans to hire additional 49,536 civil servants during the 2018/2019 financial year, out of whom 16,205 will be deployed to the health sector to reduce shortage of staff in health facilities countrywide, the National Assembly was told here.
Health facilities are among areas which were highly affected when the government struck off the payroll in October 2016, over 14,000 employees with fake credentials, 3,310 of whom were from the health sector.
